Yeah I think it just needed to be cracked. I cracked it with ucon and it found 1 instance that needed to be cracked. So far I haven't encountered that screen again, not yet anyway!

I don't believe you can actually. If you want to go back to the menu you have to turn the system off and then back on again.

Cracking those games really shouldn't be necessary. Do you use a PAL SNES? That may be the cause of the latency problems
