Yes i have cleaned all the contacts. Does the LINKING message only come on if you have the GDSF3 and Parallel port connected to a CD-ROM drive or PC?
do you have another adaptor to sell?

No, I don't connect the adapter to parallel port or CD-ROM. I just plug in SF3. Then hold 'R' to power on my SFC.
Sorry, I only have one, don't have another to sell.

What is your BIOS version? You never did say what you bios revision was. Maybe you need a bios update.

Here's what I said before (page 2 of this thread):

Tomy has a lower version of the GDSF3

Today I talk to my friend KI, he say he tested it before ship to you. So, the adapter should be ok. Now, I have no idea why you can't make it work. But if you have another SF3, please test it.

do you use CD7 drive for testing ?
I think GDSF3 and GDSF6 can't use CD7 drive.

Thank you very much for the picture. It let me remember SF3 can connect to CD Drive. I already forgot it can.

kazmat,
great picture, where'd you get it? Is that from the GDSF3 box? I wish I had that CD-ROM/Parallel Port atachment like the picture. I remember having it way back in the day, but I sold it. There was that one, and the SFC cartridge shaped one that I have now. Also, I didn't know that there was a DSP card for the GDSF3. I tried the DSP card for my GDSF7 on the GDSF3 but that doesn't seem to work. Does anyone know why the CD7 will not work with the GDSF7?
Tomy,
I have a new GDSF3 25-pin parallel port adapter and it works great with my version 1 Bung CD-ROM drive. The first 25-pin parallel port adapter that I bought from gamedoctorhk was bad.
I have both the CD7 and the version 1 Bung CD-ROM. The CD7 does not work with the GDSF3, but the version 1 Bung CD-ROM drive works with my GDSF3, GDSF6, and GDSF7.
Here is a pic of my setup. To the right of the Super Famicom, On top is the CD7, in the middle is the version 1 GDSF3, and on bottom is my Disk Dual for my SWC DX2

It took me more than 10 years but here I found 2 of those, and the original Bung ones none the less.
As mentioned in Tomy's first post, the one pictured is a clone made by CCL, you can tell from the PCB manufacturing quality.
The Bung PCBs always have a model number somewhere usually too.
So here we have the DS01F-1 and the DS01F-2 which are identical, only for a small trace that has been fixed in v2.
The components are exactly the same as the clone with a different layout as the clone one accomodates for a '139, a '04, a crystal and a DSP.
I doubt you can have both the DSP and the parallel / CD ROM card, it has to be one or the other, hence the check on the label.
Out of the 2 cards, only one works properly, I need to investigate what's wrong with the other one.
I also need to dump both BIOS when I get a new eprom programmer, mine is toast.
I tested the parallel transfer functions and the GD3 is surprisingly more stable than the GD7, less prone to errors.
I can't sadly test the CD-ROM functions as the specific caddy version needed for this machine would be impossible to find but I'm opened to suggestions and information about it.
