Is it just me or is there no official help file or help for this dumper/flasher?

I bought it and I have the correct CIC chip for flashing, but I haven't even tried that. I'm not interested in flashing right now. I have a bunch of undumped carts for the SNES that I want to release to the community..

I have the USB cable plugged into my computer. I have my parallel settings as ECP+EPP with DMA 3 and no conflicts with the right parallel port location in the options screen.

It keeps detecting the cart as LOROM, 256Mb and dumps as 32MB of zeros.

What do I do to dump carts?

I've changed the parallel port to ECP and unlike others, it detects blanks or does something then nothing afterwards...

These are my options for parallel modes, SPP, ECP, EPP, and ECP+EPP. So far, ECP locks up and the rest detect the largest amount ot data possible.

What do I do now?

I've also changed the parallel settings to allow legacy support.

Hrm... Now EPP will detect the any game for a short while as having 256Mb of ROM and 64Kb of RAM.

PLEASE WRITE A HELP FILE... Forums for help that HAVE NO HELP are useless!

People just say that they get things working without telling us EXACTLY how to get them to work. There is also no official procedure to getting it to work.

I've seen:

1) Open program.
2) Turn on base of dumper/flasher.
3) Should be detected... but not. (And I don't understand that since it already detects things even when it's set as OFF.)

What the hell is going on?..... *sigh* *breathe*

I feel better now. I'm glad I have a girlfriend to comfort me.

There are people willing to help here. Either nobody's got a clue what's wrong or they haven't read your post yet. Your first post was today, so have a little patience.
I don't think anybody is going to write a manual. If you do, you'd be the first (and not the same as other people that ask for help but never offer it).

There's also no "official" way to turn on a TV...

I would reverse 1 and 2, but it shouldn't really matter. ToToTEK should add a disclaimer that some PCs just don't work with the SuperFlash. AFAIK this is not something ToToTEK can work around -- it's the fault of the PC (chipset) manufacturers who don't follow specifications.

I'd guess an incompatible parallel port. Have you already tried another PC? Can you write games to the SuperFlash flash card?

Good for you if she comforts you for something like this :-)

My laptop's parallel port doesn't work with the SuperFlash, but my EPIA 5000 based computer's parallel port does work. I have heard other people have similar issues with laptop parallel ports.

*sigh*

I did these two things to get it to work.

1.) I tried it on an old Windows 98 PC with the EPP parallel settings.

2.) I bought a GENERIC parallel cable. The Belkin brand cable DID NOT work.

I may just write a FAQ on how to get it to work, but don't hold me to it.

That means you bought the WRONG Belkin cable (one with crossovers) or one that is too long.
