Parallel to USB adapter?

Here's my problem: I don't have a parallel port on my computer. If I use a USB-to-Parallel adapter cable to connect to the Super Flash Programmer, will the data transfer still work properly? Or is it not compatible? For it to work, I need to connect both USB and Parallel ports to my PC, correct?

You need both parallel cable (switch box extension cable) + USB type A to B cable to flash the cart.
And need to setup from bios for EPP printer port mode.

Adapters don't work. They are software driven and intended almost solely for printers (and often select printers at that).
