Hi again,
I have some questions:

How can I be sure that the usb port output from my pc is 5 volts?

Some friends told me that depends, can be 5 volts to 12 volts , depends of the device which is connected to the usb port. Im very confused about this. Maybe I must use a voltimeter But I have no idea which pines I must check... Sad

Also Im using my sega genesis AC adaptor with my sega master system
for play original sms games without problems, but somebody knows if can
do that with the sms pro without problems?

(sorry about my english) :s

Thanks before hand

A USB port is either 5 or 3.3 volts, but it is 5 volts almost all of the time.

Thank you very much for the reply Rob, so could be that only oldest pcs use more than 5 volts for the usb output? (my pc is not so old)

So, someone can help me with my sega master system question?

Thanks guys

This is a powered hub:

http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Peripherals/USB+Products/4+Port+USB+Hub+-+Powered?productId=22173

Plug that into the mains from its own PSU. Plug it into a usb port on your PC. Plug your usb cable for the flashcart into the hub.

Most computer shops / online stores will sell them. Just make sure it is a powered (meaning it has a PSU that you plug in) hub, not a non powered hub, which draws power from the PC motherboard.

If you or someone you know has access to a voltmeter/multimeter, that's all you need.

I wouldn't worry about the voltage. If it is underpowered, it won't do damage, but your PC probably has 5 volt ports.

I'm not sure I understand your ac adapter question. Are you asking if you can use the Genesis AC adapter on the SMS Pro cart interface?

Well Rob my english is not good so I will try to explain Smile

Actually Im plug my AC sega genesis adaptor in my sega master system. I think they are compatibles.( I dont asked If I can use the genesis AC adaptor on the sms pro cart interface).

So my question is: Could be damage if plug the sms pro cart in my master system cartridge slot using the genesis adaptor plugged in my sega master system?

Razz

Thank a lot for your reply
