I picked up a copy of Stunt Race FX recently. I know the SF7 can't play SuperFX ROMs even if there's a cartridge in its slot, but can it play original games from their cartridges? I don't want to risk damaging it, so I thought it might be worth asking before I try. |

I don't think the SF7, or any copier, has the pins used for SFX games connected through to the console. |

I ended up testing it anyway - it actually does run fine, I just can't dump it. |

I own the European cart of StarWing, also a Super FX game. I can play the cart on PAL settings only, I also managed to get a dump from the game as well. It doesn't play my dump though. The game boots, but then blacks out, sometimes flashes a bit. I am able to play my dump with ZSnes. I tried on a SF7. _________________ Not all Dutch people are Crazy!!

Not being able to use the dump makes sense, since the SF7 can't use the SFX in a cart to run ROMs. I'm surprised you got it to dump, though; maybe it does some games and not others? (Or some SFX revisions and not others - Starwing's a MARIO chip game, Stunt Race is a GSU-1.) |
