Disk Dual or the SWC DX2 isn't really super rare. Seems a lot of people are getting them direct from FFE every since my post in the copiers thread about Mr Liu of FFE still selling these.
Now to make this complete, u gotta do my Compact Flash to IDE + 2gb IDE add on and case mod! |

Um sorry, but bigjohn6 is correct. They are not rare. Maybe somewhat in the USA. Nice pics though. |

It's super rare if you can actually pay less the $360 for the dual and swcdx2. I can't imagine paying almost $400 for dead copy technology from the 90s. But alas that what collectors will do. So I like trying to find copiers on the cheap. If you are patient, and can troubleshoot basic electronics, you can get copier's for cheap. I picked up my swcdx2 for $50 a couple of years ago. It didn't work with the included 5v power plug. I repaired it by using a center tip negative 9v power plug and it worked! |

True, but seems people like myself would rather have it ready to go in working condition. $400 to me is worth it for such a great setup. |

Discdual's are expensive for what they are when you consider a basic dated cheap laptop will do a better job............

Waaaay over priced for what you got. I can see why FFE only sells most of their leftover stock to forigners.
bigjohn6 -> Heh, I consider the Disk Dual just a proprietary IDE enclosure and nothing else. It doesn’t even come with a CD-ROM drive. Heck, the CD-ROM now days would be many times over cheaper than the Disk Dual itself! |
