I noticed that on a Double Pro Fighter, it mentions CD-ROM. Was there ever a CD-ROM drive for this unit or can you connect a parallel port CD-ROM drive (Disk Dual, Game Doctor CD-ROM drive, etc) to a Double Pro Fighter parralel port adaptor?

Yes there was a CDROM developed but I can say with almost certainty it was never released. AFAIK it's never come up for sale or even had it's picture published online.

Without a doubt it's not compatible with other the other CDROM you mention.

Nobody has disassembled the BIOS to find out if there actually is CDROM code in there, and if so, which interface it uses. It's very possible that the CDROM would have been a self contained unit with a microcontroller which just sent the game to the Pro Fighter's parallel port just as a PC would. If that were the case the CDROM would support many other copiers using similar protocol too.

So what kind of floppy drive does a double pro fighter use? I think mine died and I'd like to find a replacement

I saw CD-ROM unit at CCL shop in HongKong.

This unit uses mitumi x4 cd-rom drive and connected to pararell card.

It's working and I saw loading games from cd-rom.

Price is about US$200, I think.
