is the game data saved on the same ram/ or rom chip that the megacart's operating system is on? basically I want to know bacause I want to put a sega cd game on a sega genesis cartridge and be able to play it regularly on a plain ol' sega genesis, and I want to produce a few of these cartridges so that other people who do not own a sega cd system have a chance to play the game on a regular sega genesis. and I don't want the megacart's operating system on the game cartridges, just the game it's self. |

The problem is... Megacd games uses both megacd CPU and megadrive CPU... So they would not work without Megacd attached.
Top of that, Megacd games do loadings time to time, play music, with their own loading routines, they would not understand how to load data from the cartridge.
Last thing is... A megacd game is usually around 200-400MB of data, how it would fit in 3MB ? |
