A lot of MarkIII and SMS games support the FM sound unit that was in later versions of the MarkIII. I know that the Genesis/MD and MarkIII have different FM chips, but does the SMS/MD convertor support the FM sound at all? I've been having some crazy fantasies about the convertor having an FM chip on it or converting the SMS FM instructions into Genesis-compatible instructions, but I know I'm off my rocker. Crush my fantasies. |

No, the Genesis FM chip and SMS FM chip are not compatible. SMS games on the Gen/MD are PSG only. |
