If you start playing around with a universal power supply, be carefull about the values you set. If your not carefull you could blow out the regulator. Then you'd have what appears to be a working copier, but a dead floppy drive to complicate matters. |

I got sick of srcratching my head on this problem, and shelved it for a couple months. Recently i went back to it, touching up a few problems on the board that "might" have been the problem. But nothing worked.
So i caved in and toke a gamble and bought a model2 mini snes since its as different from my current snes as possable. I was hopeing it was the timing issue, and i guess it was. My gdsf7 is working fine now for the most part. Only a save state issue remains, and that could be the translated/hacked roms thats the problem.
So far ive tried DQ5 and Zelda parallel worlds hack. With both, if i reload a RTS the game will play from the save point, but when i change screens, talk to a npc, etc, the game just stop. Not like a crash of freeze. Stops as in it doesent try to load the next chunk of text, or doesent try to load the next screen. Cursors will still be blinking, music will still be playing, and looping animations will still be going. With zeldaPW this even happens when i save a RTS, not just a reload. This problem was around before with my model1 snes, but i wasent separating it from the other problem.
Is the common or even heard of? Is it game/hack specific and happening for other on their gdsf7? Or is it just mine? |
