HI there,
I can't believe I just found a forum dedicated to those wonderful machines that are copiers... I'll tell you more more about my life and the pile of copiers I still have another day but for now I'm crossing my fingers to get an answer I've been looking for ages...
Can someone provide me with the DRAM PC Link cable pinout for the MGD2?
RJ11<->DB25 I believe
If you own the cable, I guess a few seconds and a multimeter should do the trick
Thanks in advance! |

Thanks a lot acem77
I guess 6 pins to connect should be quite easy to understand even on a napkin
If u don't mind scanning it or taking a snapshot with a camera, I would really appreciate. |

i hope this helps it does need one IC
to clear up the lines that are confusing
DB25(pin9)-->IC(pin11)
DB25(p5)----->IC(p19)
DB25(p11)--->IC(p9)

Are you sure the IC is a 74HCT44D? '44 doesn't make any sense. A 74XX440 on the other hand makes a whole lot of sense. Unfortunately the 74XX440 has been discontinued for a very long time, the only alternative available now is the 74LS442 which has tristate outputs instead of open collector. In addition to that, it costs $18. |
