I bought a megacart with flashing unit, utility disc and cables and i'm having trouble to recognize it.
I'm using Windows Vista 64 bits, already checked the bios and the printer port is in EPP mode. Downloaded the programs in genny4ever but it still does not work. At the moment i only have this computer and a newer notebook without printer ports.
Sega-16 forum is offline so there is no tutorial available.
Other strange thing is that my japaense bios cd appears to be blank. I saw no burning trails and it shows 0 bytes used. |

W7 (especially 64 bit) seems to cause all sort of problems for these type of things. Most people run Windows XP (often in VMWare or similar) to avoid the issue. W7 makes it difficult to directly use the hardware like you need to use the parallel port. Make sure you are running the app as administrator. |

I still didn't found a solution to that computer but i tried in my brother's old IBM Pentium 4 wich runs XP in epp mode and it worked.
You could try to implement usb in the future. Its a nice device but some people don't have desktops anymore. |
