Hi,

Since the forum database was destroyed, my previous messages are no more here...

1st question:
I don't have any printerport on my computer (most new computer doesn't have this port anymore), and adaptator (usb2pport) cost +30$ and the result is unsure.
Are we going to see a tototek cartridge (MD/32X) with a 100% usb compatibility?

2nd question:
I use to make some Megadrive/segacd/32x software and games.
So I have the skill to make several things on segacd.

Could anybody (the creator of this carts) give me the writing algorithm used to "flash" the tototek cart?
Is there some additional "pins" used during "flashing" over "WE, OE, CE, Adresses, Datas" pins?
(You may understand why i want this information Wink.

Thx a lot for replies.

Bye

Fonzie

fonzie :

1) At the moment, answer is "no". But later may have a adaptor connect USB to our programmer. Not sure. Sorry.

2) No, it is not use "WE,OE,CE" pins for programming the cart. Flash memory is control directly by CPLD.

I know you. Always see your name on others forum. Great guy from france.

Ummm, so it uses the standard genesis read/write bus (nothing more)?
BTW: I already dealed with flash card, its possible to program flashes using the JDEC standard from genesis, but with tototek, I was sure you used a special chip Wink .
The advantage loading rom from segacd is:
-Not need of any computer.
-Faster writing , i mean 96KO/sec minimum(PPort sucks).

Question You know me? That's cool, need to figure who you are ^^.
Btw: Is that you who wrote the tototek's cartridge menu code ?
