I bought a new Mega Cart. When I received it, the MegaCart wasn't recognized by my Mega Drive. Only the Utility Disc was able to recognize the cart. I reflashed the MegaCart BIOS, but that didn't help. Furthermore I cleaned the pins on the cart, but that wasn't helpful as well.
When I cleaned the contacts I noticed a small Jumper on the pcb. I removed it and now my Mega Cart is working fine.
What's the sense of this Jumper? |

To allow booting the CD or the cart. If the cart were ALWAYS enabled, you couldn't boot a CD to write the cart. When you wish to mess with the cart again, you'll need to put the jumper back in place. |
