Hello Tomy.

I just read in another thread of this forum, that it's possible to replace the CIC of the game doctor sf7 with the one of a pal-cartridge to make it pal-compatible.
If this is the case, I plan to order one with DSP-adaptor and 64M RAM-epansion, soon.

As you could read in http://tototek.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=387 this thread, I'm still having trouble with my cartridge-writer. That's why I decided to buy another backup unit.

So my questions to you are now:
1) Is it possible to replace the doctors CIC to run it on a Pal-machine?
2) Can I send my Flashcart and writer to you to get replacement for it?

Thanks in advance,
FloBo

Dear Flobo,

Yes, you can replace Pal cic to SF7, so it can use for Pal SNES. Yes, you can return the damaged stuff to me. You can return it to our address that from the email our system send you.(western union address). But you sure it is damaged ?

Well, I'm pretty sure it is, 'cause I used various cables (4 different ones, 2 of them were new) to connect it to my LPT-1, I checked the BIOS-settings, I tried other computers (2 Laptops and 2 Desktops...), I tried to configuration of the Flasher-util, but everywhere, I got the same error.

On the other hand, the Cartridge itself works perfectly on my PAL-machine. I just cannot read or write from it (nor from any original cartridge...). Or can you imagine anything else that may be a solution to this?

Hmmm..... ouh, seems like I deleted the tototek-mail from my email-account recently.

Can you either send me the western union address to my email-address or via private message?

Thanks, FloBo

FloBo,

From other thread, you say you can use it for your old mother board ? That mean it is not damaged. Address already send by email. But if your old pc can use it. Then I'm sure it is not damaged. Please check clear before ship it back. Thank you.

My old pc is now the one of my girlfriend and I tried it with this as well (I also expected it to be an issue with my new motherboard at first...). But it didn't work as well... I'll ship it back soon. Hope to hear from you, when it arrives.

Hi Tomy. I brought the package to the post office this afternoon.

Will you please let me know, when it arrived? Also can you then please tell me, if the kit was broken or if it's just my other hardware refusing to work with it correctly?

Thnaks already,
FloBo

Yes, I'm translating Lufia & The Fortress of Doom into german language (cause it has never been released in europe...). Finally this was the point why I wanted this cartridge... to test the changes I made on the real thing...

The cartridge itself worked for me as well on my SNES. The only problem I had, was the flasher, which refused to read/write to the cart. You can try for yourself. If the whole thing works with the flasher and flashcart I sent you, I think it's my computer-hardware refusing to work with it properly.

Would be glad to hear from you soon if the flasher I sent you works with your hardware...

so long, FloBo^^

FloBo,

Yes, it worked to flash games. I think it is no problem. But anyway, I'll give you another one (new one) to you.

When you received it, all working, right ? If yes, maybe something wrong with your parallel port setting.

Please send me your address, phone, full name to me again. I'm afraid your detail is out date from our database. Send to tomy@tototek.com , Thanks.

Nice work for your translation. Do you have website ?

Thank you, Tomy.

I'll send you the address immediately...
Concerning my translation: yes, I do have a website. It's address is http://www.digisalt.de/. I'm afraid there's no english version of it online yet. But there will be one when I'm updating the next time. The section of my SNES-hacking-works can be found here.

By the way, did you see my Labels, I created for your Super Flashcart?! They can be downloaded at my website as well... Or I'll give you a direct link here. What do you think about them?!
