|
|
Hi there.
I just wondered if there are different version of the CIC-161 chip for one region. I mean: I just removed the CIC-chip from an original german Super Mario World-cart (it's a PAL-cart). Now I don't want to simply solder it onto the SuperFlash-cart and find out it doesn't work. I just don't wanna remove it from the SuperFlash and probably damage the cart doing so...
So is there anyone who can tell me if there are different versions of a german CIC-chip or has anyone else used a german (PAL) chip from SMW on his FlashCart?
Thanks for your help... |

No they are not different. There are 2 systems, PAL and NTSC, PAL is used mostly in europe and NTSC in USA and Japan. The German CIC chip is no different the a swedish, spanish or french one. |

Thanks eggba.
Now I can solder my cic-chip onto the cart without being afraid of some bad surprise.
But one question remains: What to do, if the CIC doesn't work even though properly soldered onto the cart? |

If it doesnt work then something is broken or not soldered on propperly/correctly. Try it first, then, if it wont work, post again and someone will try to help you. |
