Thanks, Tomy! Great site.
I can't tell by memory if this is like the one from Brad Taylor's doc, but is this any different from his cable for PC to RAM Adapter?
Another excellent connector to use to make this cable (instead of making your own card edge) is the AV connector from a SNES/SFC. If you remove this connector you only have to use a drill to shave a bit off two inside corners to allow the FDS RAM adapter to fit in perfectly.
If you want to make the other cable (the one you use to connect the FDS to a PC, not RAM adapter to PC), I use the connector from an SNES/SFC av cable. The trick is finding one with all 12 pins on the card edge. I have had very good luck with these: http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=183&products_id=220&
At least, I *think* that's the one. It's been a while since I bought one. If you carefully open the connector, you can solder each wire on and even have enough room for a little AC adapter connector to fit inside it if you drill a hole.
Tomy, what codec does that video use? I couldn't get it to load.

Hi Tomy,
I did make Brad Taylor's cable before for FDSLoadr, and that worked fine. Is this the same design?
I got the video working. Very cool. What is that program you are using on the PC side to load the image? Is that just FDSLoadr? It's kind of blurry and the colors look a little different, so I couldn't tell.

You say you had made Brad Taylor's cable ? What use of this ?
It is not FDSLoader cable ? Mine is FDSLoader cable for RAM Adaptor. |

Hi Tomy,
Brad Taylor invented the FDSLoadr. It is the same cable.
So yes, I have made that same cable before. Very useful tool!

Tomy, does your new FDS product support images larger than 64k?

A bunch of folks on the DP board are interested too. I'm sure there's plenty of others out there. Of all the systems out there, it's the one that needs it the most by far, considering how flaky FDS disks are.
*Please* release it soon, Tomy?

That cable seems easy enough to make by hand, am I missing something? |

The FDSLoadr cable is, yes, but, my understanding is Tomy's product was much better than FDSloadr, and not just a cable. Some kind of hardware and software too, but I don't know.
I don't know if it will help, but if you want Tomy to make such a device, cast your vote here!
