Hey, I am running Windows 7. My LTP port is via PCI. I keep getting this error:
NT Port Driver Couldnt Start. Something Wrong !!!!!!!!
My directory does include the zlportio.sys file. If this is completely incompatible with Window 7, that's fine: I'll just do things from work where I'm running XP Professional. |

I'm sorry that you must use onboard parallel port. The driver can not work on PCI parallel card. |

then what options do I have? Most motherboards nowadays are not shipped with on-board parallel ports. |

Better yet, since I look around the board and everyone says that the only way this could possibly work is with an on-board parallel, I'm willing to bet that it's the software that's acting goofy. Does anyone have the source? |

Just for the sake of preventing this idea from spreading further: yes, it can. It depends on the implementation of the PCI parallel port though. For 64-bit Windows (like Windows 7 and 10) you would need a 64-bit version of zlportio.sys. If that doesn't exist you won't be able to use the official software on those platforms. uCON64 could work, but it might need a small change depending on the mentioned PCI card's implementation. See this thread. |
