Madman is mad! Eastbay, check out Famicomworld and look at the worshop tab. There is an article, Repair a Sharp Twin Famicom, that I wrote when I restored my Twin Famicom. I show a closeup of the 7201 board.
Look at the article, Repair a Sharp Twin Famicom2, and I show a picture of a 3206 board.

Is Tomy ever going to come out with a solution for backing up FDS games to a PC and back to FDS disks? Also, what about loading FDS images from a PC to the FDS RAM adaptor as shown in a video he released? |

I meant a ready made solution. one that isn't a do it yourself kind of deal. Not all of us are good at soldering...besides the fact I have shaky hands due to nerve damage (my last job is responsible for that) |

I would seriously doubt that there would be enough interest in an FDS backup solution to warrant some professionally designed product. If you have an MGD1, you've got a solution right there. You can dump and write disks. |

I don't have an mgd1 nor do I know where to get one. and I don't have a 7201 fds drive nor pc cable either (making this is out of my ability now) |

Tomy can't sell FDSLoadrs because they aren't his product. If you just want to playback FDS games, wait until the "FDSPak" comes out from Retrozone. |

I would like to play and write fds disks since I not only have regular games (call me crazy but I actually like loading from fds disks), but I also have a large amount of game doctor fds disks I wanna back up and rewrite. Also when is FDSPak comming out? I have hear about it almost half a year ago but no news. |

You're expecting a project that's been stagnant for 4 years now to be released out of the blue within 3 months of waiting? |

|
|
Brad Taylor, the creator of FDSLoadr has a website that documents all of his NES development including FDSLoadr. He has a nice picture of the power board that he modified for his FDS.
The site has been up since mid 2007.
Check it out: http://digilogistist.googlepages.com/
PS: I still can't get FDSLoadr to write disks. |

As far as I can tell, the write function only works on Brad Taylor's FDS, since he did his own Frankensten mod, heh. As long as you have FDSLoadr, a modded FDS, Copy Master, and a TGD6 (and some other FC copiers work too), you can still write disks. FDS Loadr is optional...needed if you want to write a disk directly from your PC.
