|
|
Hi everybody.
I'm an italian user of Super Nintendo.
In these holydays i bought a SuperNes and I pull away from a box my old super magicom.
I have a Super Magicom MS-3201 with 16m.
I have no more the disk drive, but I connected the magicom to pc through parallel port with Ucon64.
But now starts my problem:
When I turn on the console (with magicom inserted) I can see on the screen that the ram aboard is not 16mb but 0mb * (yes with an asterisk)
I opened the magicom and cleaned all contacts but same story.
I removed the ram module (SONY 8M16 CXK58256PM-10 I hope it's the ram) and turned on the console.
Now on screen I can see RAM: 0mb but without asterisk.
I presume that the ram is broken
Can you help me to understand where is the problem??
What's that asterisk???
Thansk
(sorry for my english)

Maybe the * just denotes a problem in testing the RAM or something. If it changed when you removed the board then maybe just fiddling with how the board is seated will get it working. If it's been stored working it should still be working unless some component died which the RAM shouldn't have.
Maybe someone else will have better suggestions. |
