|
|
Hi!
I have the SNES card with extender and the little chip soldered on.
My problem is this:
If I burn one game to the card the game works fine.
If I burn multiple games to the card the Menu is not on screen long enough to select any games before crashing out or corrupting. If I am lucky I can press Start and begin a game (which will then work fine).
At the top of the screen is says I have Menu 2.2.
I have tried:
Cleaning everything (including inside the SNES).
Using the card without the extender.
Running US only games (I have a US SNES)
Uninstalling and reinstalling (I am running the latest burning software and think I have the Intel chip) the software.
I have tried running an earlier version of the software but it would not work on my PC (the icons on the right side were not accessible).
I think it might be the menu (sfbotx2.gs) is there another version of this?
Any help appreciated!
Thanks!

Ok, I might be a major n00b, but I know this, The Icons on the right on the Super Flash are not assesible until you hook up the programmer with Printer Port and Power source and flip the switch on it (Power Source USB A+B, Printer Port, Male/Male) |

I know that. The latest version of the burner software works fine. The first version doesn't.
The problem is when I have burnt the menu on the SNES crashes. |

Sargie :
If you need, I can send you old version menu (v2.1). It work fine for me. What mean crash ? Mean black screen ? or have picture on screen but hang ?
If black screen, maybe the cic chip. Then can you try to turn the switch down from t-connector ? Then it will use original cic to run game. And please use no sram cart for t-connector. Thanks. |

Thanks Tomy,
I have the menu on screen for a few seconds ( I can read it ) then it corrupts. I can sometimes get a game to run by pressing Start but more often than not I can't.
It usually corrupts into "blocks" - flashing on the screen. It's not a black screen,
I don't have an original cart to stick in the back of the connector at present. Which carts with DSP1 do not have SRAM - maybe I can get one?

OK. I fixed it.
I downloaded version 2.3 and it worked.
I copied the sfbotx2.gs file from the 2.3 installation and then re-installed 2.34 and overwrote the menu file with the one from the 2.3 installation and it worked.
Looks like the menu file was at fault (somehow).
Hope this helps someone else!
