there are some nice top loading nes clones out.
how hard would it be to take one and change the guts a bit?
this guy made a playchoice 10 bios to play normal nes roms
http://members.bellatlantic.net/~vze3b3qa/pc10/pc_10nes.htm
more rgb info
http://www.gamespy.com/articles/580/580315p1.html
i think people with the right skills(tototek+friends) can do this rgb mod to get nes clones to run game with better video.
here is the stereo nes mod
http://www.zyx.com/chrisc/nesstereo.html
sounds easy for the skilled people.
i would pay good money for a nes that does all this.
what do you guys think?
acem77 dreams of playing real nes games on my hd tv with my Xrgb 2+ upscan converter.(does this now with composite video but rgb and stereo would be nes heaven! |

Although RGB is lovely, Playchoice consoles just isn't good enough for NTSC NES players. If you haven't seen it, see Kevin Horton's SOC NES system. To do the PPU swap yourself, it's rather easy. You'll probably need a circuit to amplify the video though, this can probably be found at GameSX. |

do you have the info for the ppu mod?
i still think an all around enhanced nes clone would be nicer. |

But rumor has it that the Messiah clone is based on the Neofami nes-on-a-chip, which has inaccurate audio and video, and lacks support for some games. |
