| I agree, just remove the RAM cover and take a picture of the board and post it. It'll be easy to tell if it's 32M or 64M. |

Well looks like only 32mb according to the pic.
Now it seems none of my 4 parallel port adapters work since I sent a ROM to the DPF and nothing happens after that. The same ROM sent via parallel port worked with my Pro Fighter Q (this has a built in parallel port).... |

Maybe your parallel port settings aren't correct or you're using the wrong type of cable. I have had these problems with my wildcard.
Worst thing it could be is that one or more IC on the board don't work any more. I'm sure those can be replaced because tototek and gamedoctorhk both sell custom boards that they built more recently.
I was looking at these the other day and I wonder why Tomy hasn't made a USB adapter for this. Maybe data needs to be fed into the unit too slow and it is too difficult to buffer it down to the parallel port speeds. He was also talking about making a USB adapter for Super Wildcard DX but I haven't heard about that in quite some time either. _________________ -amptor |

What software are you using?
I recently used my DPF with Tototek's adapter. The SNES side works with Ucon64 as any SWC/SPF while the MD side only works with MDL or Gtool.
BTW, anybody's willing to update Ucon64 with the DPF sending feature for the MD side?  |

I'm curious if you can use snestool to send to the pro fighter adapter. Remember rgb_gamer was having difficulty and couldn't get ucon64 to work. So I'm not sure what tool he's using either.
I should just bring him my win98 box and help him test out the stuff. That is, if the parallel port in mine is properly configured anyway. I can't remember if I was sending files to my SWC with it. _________________ -amptor |

Indeed I have cleaned all of his parallel adapters and none of them work. I took one apart and found that the two resistors work and are within tolerance and the diode works. The diode appears to be a switching diode in shape and color similar to 1N4148 that I used for jtag on another system.
So I am looking at worst case scenario that the integrated circuits on this are completely fried and that is why it doesn't work.
If anyone thinks I am wrong, feel free to chime in and comment. I don't see any shorts or cut traces on this first board I took out of the case. All of the solder joints are good. _________________ -amptor |
