Hello I am trying to backup my rockman x2 cart to my computer but I always get bad copies. I heard that cart has a special chip C4.
Is it possible to backup a good dump of Rockman X2 ? Thanks |

not too sure, but if you use another C4 game and a T connector? |

You don't need another game or a T-connector; he's thinking you want to playback Rockman X2. If the base unit cannot back it up, without a upgrade to the Windows software and/or CPLD (Xilinx chip) it can't be done. |

I 've just received RX3 (RockmanX3) and another cart of RX2
both have the Capcom C4 chip
and strangely enough RX3 backed up just fine
so it's a bug with RX2 only
both carts of RX2 run correctly on a real snes but they both produce the same bad dump with tototek super flasher (bad checksum 0xc260)
Code: | NSRT v3.3 - Nach's SNES ROM Tools
File: ROCKMANX2.smc
Name: ROCKMAN X2
Company: Capcom
Header: SWC
Bank: LoROM
Interleaved: No
SRAM: 0 Kb
Type: C4
ROM: 16 Mb
Country: Japan
ROM Speed: 200ns (SlowROM)
Video: NTSC
Revision: 1.0
Checksum: Bad 0xC260 != 0x8560
CRC32: 642CAD30
--Database--
Name: Not found in Database
Country: Unknown
Revision: 1.0
Port 1: ???
Port 2: ???
Genre 1: Unknown
Genre 2: None |
I have checked the dump in hexeditor
The first MByte of data is correct but the second MB of data is altered
This is possibly a bug with tototek, please check it |
