Another Famicom "copier" that allows you to play cart games that were converted to run off of FDS disks.

Pretty much in that exact way. Famicom cart ROMs, hacked to run off FDS disks that require a device such as the Game Converter.

The Venus unit that you have requires the Famicom Disk System. It DOES NOT allow you to copy any games. It plays games that were specially converted from cartridges on special Famicom Disk System disks. I have a box of these special famicom disks for run on a machine like this, and unless you have disks like this, this unit really isn't of much use.

It might allow you to run FDS copy programs such as CopyMaster that require a copier to boot. Never used that one, though, so I dunno.
